New Mirror

Ordorica.info

Today I got a new mirror for ordorica.org. All it does is host my downloads that were bringing down this site last week. I also put the PAX Audigy pack back up. Use up the mirror now! That way I can get my money's worth out of it this month.
btw, I've been doing some code cleanup to make sure it conforms to standards.

Downtime

Website down 3 days in a row

My webhost, while offering a generous 5GB of bandwidth daily for a low price, has a rule that I cannot exceed 5GB more than 3 days in one month. For this reason I had to removed the Audigy Package from the site. However, I am currently trying to devise a way to automatically pull down the downloads when I reach 4GB or something similar, that way there is never any problems.

Also, I have recompressed the Live! series drivers and I am still hosting them. I got them from 209MB down to 149MB. Same exact files. The other positive is that I am getting another mirror for the files soon (and I'm sure that others will join once they realize how good these drivers are). This new mirror will have no limit on daily bandwidth, only monthly. Plus I can automatically set it up so that I never go past my monthly bandwidth (which is actually the same as this site, but not on a daily basis).

Anyways, leave a message or something.

Update....

The drivers are up!

Hurry and get them before the site's bandwidth is destroyed! No worries though, it reactivates at 12:00PST.

9GB in one day!

PAX drivers are really popular

The first day I put up the !Live drivers of the Newyear 2005 edition I got 9GB of transfer in one day. Needless to say, my site has been down two days in a row because my daily transfer is only 5GB. The site actually reactivated at 12:00PST the next day but the word got out about the drivers and 6GB more were downloaded in only a few hours.

I pulled down the old Audigy 2 drivers. The new Audigy 4 based package is out for the Audigy, however, I have to download it from mydrivers like everyone else, and it's super slow (a few kb per second). That and it disconnects frequently.

I am in the process of getting the new drivers up, unfortunately, when I did have them, I installed them on my windows partition incorrectly, and now windows will not boot. However, this is purely my fault, if you read the instructions it is very clear that your computer will mess up like mine did if you don't uninstall any other PAX drivers first.

Anyways, I am going to get them threw my trusty Gentoo Linux partition and upload them.

btw, I am getting another 120GB transfer per month on top of my 5GB daily limit. Should be up as a mirror tommorow.

MLK Day

Hosting some downloads. Got my Wisdom Teeth Pulled.

I've been hosting these awesome drivers for a while, and it really shows on my bandwidth-o-meter. They are for owners of Creative Audigy cards.

Anyways, i've been home for the Martin Luther King holiday. Guess what I did today? I got my wisdom teeth pulled out! OUCH! Thats all right. At least it's over with for today. Tommorow morning I have to drive 2 and a half hours to UCSD. I am sure my face is swollen like a baloon. I can't even chew anything because it hurts like a "mofo."

Hey, let people know about this site. I will have some pretty cool things going on here now that I got he format all fixed up. BTW, I know a lot of people have been waiting for my 4th revision XPCD... It's coming soon. I've had a few interm revisions since Rev.3 but none have been bug free enough to release. Also, I had to delete Rev3 off my server because my hosting service was going through my account checking stuff out...

Last update for today.

Alright, thats enough, time to do homework (lol, more programming!). I've put up the image gallery. I still need to fix the thumbnail generation so it looks better, but I am happy with the results so far.
